Loving the Rain and Newest Etsy Sales

Raise your hand if...you absolutely LOVE the sound of rain!  Me, too.  It relaxes me like nothing else does.

We're due for "unseasonably cool" temperatures the first part of this week and all I can say is...YAHOO!!  I love "unseasonably cool" temps!  We're also due for rain, so between those two things, I'm in my glory.  That means I can continue to wear a sweater to work and not sweat.

Life is good.

I've made quite a few sales this past week in my Etsy shop and I think it's because I now accept credit cards.  Who knew?!

Newest sales this weekend...

...one of my favorites; my own design.  Chakra necklace using gorgeous crystal beads.

I think of these colors as beach colors.

Gorgeous amber beads with copper wire.

Turquoise colored glass beads and wire wrapping.

Another chakra necklace using smaller seed beads.

Each of the metal washer pendants I make is my own design and is one of a kind.

I also weeded the patio (which just sounds odd), planted a flat of pink impatiens to place wherever color is needed, took care of some necessary computer work, and ironed my school clothes.

But first I took a solo ride just to have some alone time.  It's been too long since I've done that and thankfully, it made the difference I needed.

So tally ho...12.5 more days til summer vaca!!

A Bucket List?!

Raise your hand if...you have a bucket list.  You do?!  I'm jealous.

I often think about starting an actual Bucket List, but then I think about where I'd put the list, and then I think about forgetting where I put the list, and then I think about getting ticked off at myself because I'd forget where I put the list.

Then I stop thinking about making the list.

If I WERE to make an actual Bucket List, here are a few things that would be on it...

     *travel to Santa Fe
     *travel to the Badlands
*travel to the wide open west
     *drive up Mt. Washington
*travel to Wolf Sanctuary in Ipswich, MA
*zip line (withOUT getting hit with vertigo)
     *walk a half-marathon
     *walk a whole marathon

Just a few ideas.  The funny thing is that I don't even like to travel, but I noticed that more than half of my ideas involve traveling...what's that all about?!

We don't live that far from Mt. Washington, so I guess we could do that one.

Slip Sliding Away (Am I?!)

No walking at all since this past Thursday, although in my defense, the temp was around 90+ degrees with humidity of 65%.  I barely walked to and from my car, never mind anything else.

But...the weather is gorgeous now and still I have not walked.

I've seen photos of myself lately and man, I am big.  Big and uncomfortable.

Yet still I don't walk.

New Etsy Sales...Yay!

Newest sales in my Etsy shop!

These six square envelopes are my own creation and I just love them!  They're perfect for notecards, small photos, and even a candy (which I may or may not have already eaten!)

The woman who purchased envelopes and gift tags must love paisley as she bought both items.  I so LOVE the colors!

My Cottage

My cottage, my own personal sanctuary.

If I had a place to sleep inside of my cottage, I'd sleep out there on the nights that it rains.  Other nights, too.

To me, there is no greater lullaby than a good, steady rainstorm.

Night.  :-)

I've Been Busy in My Etsy Shop!

I finally photographed and listed the newest creations in my Etsy shop!  While I love the creating, I don't necessarily love the photo-ing! (is that even a word?)

The above four are all metal washer pendants, one of my favorite items to make.

The two antique book pendants are both done in antique copper pendant trays, which I also love!

Lastly, mini envelopes...probably by all-time favorite!

Thank goodness for the weekend, that's all I can say!

Yikes

I've done it again...I've fallen off from posting.  No reason other than I've been in a slump, probably a Winter heading into Spring slump.

Even my crafting has slowed down!  I did, however, get into my cottage twice this week!  It would have been more often except my back kicked out on Good Friday and I wasn't out of the tough pain until Wednesday or Thursday.  By then my plans for ship-lapping one bedroom were on hold til summer, as well as my plans for crafting up a storm.

I actually think it was God's way of telling me to quiet down, to stop mentally running on overdrive.  So I did...I've read four books so far, and that's okay.

I was able to spend all day out in my cottage today though; here are a few of the things I got done.

I made the roses a few years ago and decided to give them a try...I'm still on the fence about adding/not adding flowers, but for now, the roses aren't permanent.

Here are a few pendants that I made earlier this month and that are now listed in my Etsy shop.

Oh how I LOVE COLOR!!

Tuesday, March 28, 2017

Oh thank heavens...I figured it out!  No idea how, but now I like the colors better.

Thankfully I wasn't obsessing about it...not like it's past my bedtime or anything.

Over and out!
Raise your hand if...you're unable to change your blog design!!  Me either!!

For some reason, I'm unable to change my color scheme using the Design/Theme/Advanced settings and if I were an OCD sufferer, I'd be upset!

I'm upset.

It's going to bug me! 😨

Maple Sugaring Antique Print

Raise your hand if...you know anything about this piece!

I sure don't, other than it comes from my husband's grandparents, having hung in their Vermont home for decades.

I think it's a photo that's slightly colorized, but one daughter thinks it may be a pencil drawing. It's pretty hard to tell, even looking at it up close.

It is signed in pencil, entitled "Sugar Making In Ye Older Tyme" we think.  There is an artist's signature, but I can't really make it out.  It may be S.L. Blass or Blasi or Blair. The picture measures 13.5" x 11" and it's reeeaaalllly old.

I tried looking up those names but found nothing.

Any ideas?

Babies!

Raise your hand if...today was your grandson's first day in the snow!!

Look at this child...he is the spittin' image of his daddy!

Once he touched down, he took off!!

And then it was time to get warm and dry, and watch a little bit of Daniel Tiger.

One of life's most perfect moments, that face, those hands, that little baby boy. 💕
