As I sit here and look through the trees, I can see the sun rising ever-so-slowly. It's quite peaceful, to say the least.
My husband and I spent over 2 hours at his pre-op appointment yesterday going through all the paperwork, bloodwork, ekg, etc., that is necessary for his upcoming surgery on May 29th to bypass severely blocked arteries. I'm still in the "business mode" for it, dealing with paperwork, appointments, etc. I haven't let the "emotional mode" kick in yet. If I do, I'll be a blubbering idiot and we all know that a blubbering idiot can't function that well! So, as the battle cry of most of us mothers says...."Tally ho!"
Ok, off to get ready for work. Only about 23 more days til school's out...yay!! Have a sparkly day all!
Carol, I am sure that all will go well. Know that my thoughts and prayers are with you both - I went through it with my dad and luckily had a friend who had been through the same with her father and I could "touch base" with her for reassurance during and afterward. Best of luck to both of you.
ReplyDeletefeel free to go into emotional mode. i will hold down the fort in business mode because that's just what i do.
