Outside my window...a sparrow in the weeping cherry tree.
I am thinking of...and grateful for, my mom.
I am thankful for...Cate and I going to church today.
From the kitchen...contentment, as dishes are done and kitchen is closed.
I am wearing...black capris and a black striped, sleeveless top.
I am creating...time for a decorative painting class.
I am going...to sit on the porch and try to be calm.
I am reading...Stargirl by Jerry Spinelli.
I am hoping...to figure things out.
I am hearing...a few birds as they head home for the night.
Around the house...Bob, me, the pooch, and the wretched TV.
One of my favorite things...the end of the day.

I have a feeling you are going to have a wonderful, creative, inspirational time while you are on vacation and won't be a bit melancholy...but calm , introspective, artisitic, relaxed and feeling at peace.
